This Cookie Policy explains how Vyxos s.r.o. ("Vyxos", "we", "us") uses cookies in Taskwich (the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Bottom line
Taskwich uses only strictly-necessary cookies — the ones required to sign you in, keep your session, and protect the Service against attacks. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics service.
On our public website only we ask whether you are willing to be counted in our own visitor statistics. That is the single thing we ask consent for. It is off unless you say yes, it never runs once you are signed in to the app, and saying no costs you nothing.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can be read back on later requests. The same rules apply to similar technologies — local storage, session storage, and comparable identifiers (EDPB Guidelines 2/2023). Where this policy says "cookies", it covers those too.
The legal rule
Storing or reading information on your device is governed by Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), transposed in Slovakia by the Act on Electronic Communications (Act No. 452/2021 Coll.), §109. Under that rule:
- Non-essential cookies (analytics, marketing, profiling) require your prior opt-in consent.
- Strictly-necessary cookies — those without which a service you asked for cannot work — are exempt from the consent requirement.
Every cookie Taskwich sets falls into the strictly-necessary, exempt category. Our visitor statistics do not use cookies at all — but Slovakia grants analytics no exemption, so we ask for your consent regardless rather than lean on a technicality.
Cookies we use
All cookies below are strictly necessary (category: essential). They carry no analytics or marketing function.

We also store a few preferences on your device (browser local storage, not cookies) — your theme and some task-view settings (e.g. expanded labels, milestone view). These stay on your device, are never sent to advertisers, and exist only to remember how you like the app.
Payments
If you open the checkout to subscribe, our payment provider Stripe sets its own cookies (e.g. __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid) to prevent payment fraud. These load only when you enter checkout, are operated by Stripe as the merchant of record under its own privacy and cookie terms, and are used for security — not advertising.
Visitor statistics (consent required)
We run Umami on our own servers to count visits to our public pages. It is not a third-party service — no analytics company receives your data, and nothing leaves our infrastructure.

We also honour the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals: if your browser sends either, we treat it as a "no" and never show you the question.
Changing your mind: use the analytics control in the footer of any public page. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as consenting.
What we do not do
- No third-party analytics — our visitor statistics run on our own servers, and no measurement or advertising vendor receives your data. (Our error-monitoring provider, Sentry, captures crashes on our behalf; in your browser it captures errors only — no session replay and no browser tracing — so it sets no cookies or other storage on your device.)
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No cross-site or third-party tracking, pixels, fingerprinting, or profiling.
- No cookie wall — we never condition access to the Service on accepting cookies.
If this changes
If we ever introduce a further cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary — for example marketing or advertising — we will, before setting it, obtain your prior opt-in consent the same way (no pre-ticked boxes; "Reject" as easy as "Accept"; easy withdrawal), update this policy, and list it above.
Cookie/ePrivacy consent in Slovakia is enforced by the telecom regulator, the Úrad pre reguláciu elektronických komunikácií a poštových služieb (RÚ) — not the data-protection authority (ÚOOÚ).
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because Taskwich's cookies are essential, blocking them will stop you from signing in or using the Service.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date.
